JOURNEY TO GREATNESS: MSFA KICKS OFF STATE LEAGUE PREPARATIONS

 
The Millennium Stars Football Academy (MSFA) has officially joined the Delta State Football Association and will be participating in the State League this season — a massive milestone in our journey to greatness! We're proud to announce that our journey to greatness is well underway, and we're excited to see our players take the next step in their football careers. With the state league just around the corner, we're working tirelessly to ensure that our team is well-prepared and equipped with the skills and strategies needed to succeed. Our coaching staff is dedicated to helping our players reach their full potential, and we're confident that with hard work and determination, we'll achieve great things.
 
Trial Camp Begins with High Energy
On Monday, May 11th, 2025, we kicked off our trial camp with an impressive turnout of over 40 aspiring players. The energy was electric as players gave their all during training sessions held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that week. Every tackle, pass, and sprint was a step toward making the dream team for the upcoming league.

Appreciation to All Trialists
We want to express our deepest appreciation to every player who turned up and gave their best. As mentioned on the pitch, only 24 players can be officially registered for the league — a tough but necessary decision to streamline our squad and meet technical demands.
 
Provisional 32-Man Squad Announced
On Saturday, August 16th, 2025, we released a provisional list of 32 players. This batch represents those who stood out during trials, demonstrating skill, commitment, and potential. Here's the full list:

Training continues this week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as we prepare to trim the squad to the final 24-man list — to be released one week before the tournament kicks off. Every training session counts now more than ever.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, our Sporting Director, Mr. Uchenna Ikenye, shared his thoughts:
 “We want to thank all players who showed up during the trial period for their effort. You could have easily been picked — the talent was overwhelming. But we had to streamline to meet our technical goals. To those who made the list, congratulations — but the journey has only just begun. Now is the time to work harder than ever.”

As the summer draws to a close, our U19 team has been working tirelessly to prepare for the upcoming state league.
