DECEMBER TO REMEMBER: Football, Festival and Fun



Paul FC is proud to present the new edition of the December to remember, an Amateur Football Tournament (Senior Category) in Asaba, Delta State, one of the most popular tournament for young players around Asaba and enviroment. The organizer and founder of Paul FC, Mr. Paul Ezeuzoramaka Arinze spoke to the media giving us a brief into the history of the tournament, according to him the tournament was inspired by his mother, who loves to celebrate children around her during the festive season, this would lead to the birth of December to Remember in 2021.

The tournament debuted in 2021 with the prize money at N20k for the winner, over the years the prize has gone up and this year the prize money stands at N100k. This year would see 14 teams compete in a 7-aside, 25minute each half and an opportunity to take the prize money home. The 14 Teams includes:

  1. Royal Stars
  2. Dare Devils
  3. Special FA
  4. Never Walk Alone FC
  5. Airport FC
  6. Braveheart
  7. Team DS
  8. Millennium Stars FA
  9. San Siro FC
  10. Brave Blues FC
  11. Young Warriors FC
  12. Matric FC
  13. Pray & Play FC
  14. Sensational FC


The 14 Teams would be divided into two groups, allowing each team to play at least 6 games in the group stages. The organizers are adopting the new UEFA UCL Table format to determine who gets to the quarter finals, every Goal, Assist and Point would be very important.


Mr. Paul Arinze insist that the goal of the December to Remember is to celebrate young amateur players across Asaba during the festive season, have fun playing Football and also serve as avenue to scout players looking to take the next step in becoming professional footballers, speaking to the medias Mr. Paul share with reporters that scouts from the Nigeria National League, the NLO, and the TCC would be around to spot really talented players during the tournament. December to Remember kicks off on the 1st December 2024 at the ABU-ATO Field Koka, Asaba, Delta State.
