DECEMBER TO REMEMBER: MILLENNIUM STARS WOULD BE READY TO CHALLENGE.


 Millennium Stars Football Academy would be looking to close the year on a high, in what has been a very eventful calendar year for the Academy. The U-19 would be participating in this year December To Remember organized by Mr. Paul Ezeuzoramaka Arinze of Paul FC Asaba. This would be MSFA third tournament outing in 2024, in the previous two outing Millennium Stars FA has failed to live up to the hype around the team, representative of the academy insist that the team weren't ready in the previous tournament due to a lot of factors but we have looked sharp in training and the boys mentality is gradually getting to where we want them to be, to be able to compete among their peers, when December to Remember kicks off the boys would be ready to challenge he insisted.

Total of 16 players were shortlisted by the coaches and 4 on standby for the 7-aside tournament, the sixteen players includes:

  5. CHISOM IBEGBUNAM
  6. IFECHUKWUDI IYAMAH

  9. EMMANUEL AGU
  10. TERRENCE IGOR
  11. FAVOUR OJUGBELI
  12. IKECHUKWU EBUBE EMMANUEL
  13. CHARLES CHUKWUEMEKA MONDAY
  14. EKENE GODWIN MOSES
  15. EMMANUEL CHINONSO DIVINE
  16. DESTINY 

The four on standby:

  1. EMMANNUEL OGBODO
  2. PRINCE EZE MC-ANTHONY
  3. JOSHUA ANOZIE
  4. GREAT

 Millennium Stars are in Group A along side Royal Stars, Special FA, Never Walk Alone, Airport FC, Braveheart, and Dare Devils. The tournament kicks off on December 1st 2024 but MSFA doesn't play till on the 3rd December against Royal Stars at Abu-Ato Field, Koka, Asaba. The tournament serves as an avenue to further develop the players, it provides the much needed competitive environment to enable the players to adapt to Competitive match situations. 

Academy representative Coach Moses encourage the boys to give it a good representation both for the academy and themselves, in his own words: "I want to encourage the boys to give a good representation of their talents, the academy they represent and the effort from their parents. The tournament will help us evaluate the work done by the coaches for the calendar year 2024, we encourage our lovely Sport DADs and MUMs to come out and cheer their kids, our players as we close the year on a high."

As the summer draws to a close, our U19 team has been working tirelessly to prepare for the upcoming state league.
